And we're not alone; worldwide, coffee is drunk a staggering two billion times every single day, making it the most popular drink across the globe.

Coffee Brings Benefits to the UK Economy

With the UK coffee industry booming, the Gross Value-Added contribution from the UK coffee industry is estimated to be £9.1 billion, bringing in 210,000 jobs. Moreover, if we look at a wider estimate including the broader industry, coffee brought in a whopping £17.7 billion to the UK economy in 2017.

What's the Most Popular Type of Coffee?

Although, many of us would love to be coffee aficiandos 80%, of UK households buy instant coffee for that, "I'm in a rush and need my in-home coffee, now". This is particularly true of those aged 65 and older, who are maybe used to this instant hit and like the taste as it's what they grew up with.

Things look a bit different for millenials, with ground coffee and single-serve coffee pods becoming ever more popular.

And of course, on the high street, café culture has also continued to boom, with 80% of people saying they visit coffee shops at least once a week, whilst 16% of us visit on a daily basis.
