Chocolate, Date, & Pecan Treat-Bars that Go Great with a Cup of the Blesséd Brew Coffee!

For a Healthier Treat Choice

Here's an easy recipe for chocolate, pecan, and date, treat-bars that pair perfectly with a cup of The Blesséd Brew Chikka Coffee. Naturally sweetened with dates, packed with pecans that are rich in healthy fats and antioxidants, and finished with a layer of luxurious dark chocolate, these bars are are the perfect comforting mood-booster for cold and dark January days and cosy winter afternoons.
Ingredients to Make Chocolate, Pecan, & Date Treat Bars
100g pecans
8 pitted dates (make sure there are no stones!) Soak the dates in a bit of warm water for a few minutes if they are a bit dry to make them nice and squiggy.
2 tbs cocoa (or gut-boosting cocoa powder).
60g good quality dark chocolate
1 tsp (organic if you can) coconut oil
Method
Reserve a few pecans for later and blitz the rest in a food processor until they form fine crumbs.
Add the pitted dates and cocoa, and process to a sticky dough.
Add to ice cream moulds, or just shape into circles if you prefer.
Melt the dark chocolate with coconut oil in a Bain Marie and coat the pecan and date mixture. Decorate with whole the reserved pecans.
Pop in the fridge for 10 minutes and then remove from the moulds.
Enjoy with a cup of the Blesséd Brew Coffee!
