The Blesséd Brew Espresso Martini (2026) | The Blesséd Brew “Midnight” Espresso Mocktail (NYE Edition)

An espresso martini sits in front of a bag of The Blesséd Brew Kaphi coffee with 2026 behind to celebrate the New Year.

Here's what you need for your New Year celebrations! Read below for a mocktail.

Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 50 ml vodka – choose a smooth, high-quality vodka

  • 30 ml coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa, Mr Black)

  • 30 ml freshly brewed strong coffee — best if you use your Kaphi  brewed strong and cooled slightly

  • 10–15 ml simple syrup (adjust to taste) — optional, for a touch of sweetness

  • Ice — for shaking

  • 3 coffee beans — classic garnish symbolising health, wealth & happiness

Method

  1. Brew the coffee: Brew a strong shot of coffee — if using your Kaphi filter coffee, brew a strong decoction and let it cool slightly (you want it hot enough to extract flavour but cool enough so it doesn’t melt the ice immediately).

  2. Chill the glass: Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for a few minutes so the cocktail stays cold.

  3. Mix the cocktail: Fill a cocktail shaker about halfway with ice.Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, fresh coffee, and simple syrup (if using).

  4. Shake vigorously: Seal the shaker and shake hard for ~15 seconds. This chills the drink and creates that signature silky, foamy top.

  5. Strain & serve: Strain into the chilled glass.

  6. Garnish & celebrate: Float 3 coffee beans on top — a classic Espresso Martini flourish that also nods to good luck for the New Year.

Tips for a Blesséd Brew Twist

  • Use Kaphi with its chicory and robusta notes, as these earthy, rich flavours pair beautifully with the coffee liqueur and vodka.

  • For a sweet festive note, add a tiny pinch of cinnamon or a twist of orange peel as garnish.

  • Serve alongside light desserts (chocolate or pistachio) to enhance the coffee notes.

The Blesséd Brew “Midnight” Espresso Mocktail (NYE Edition)

A rich, velvety coffee mocktail with the look and ritual of an espresso martini — minus the alcohol.

Ingredients for Espresso Martini (1 serving)

  • 40 ml strong brewed Blesséd Brew coffee(Kaphi, South Indian filter coffee, brewed as a strong decoction)

  • 30 ml chilled coffee + 10 ml date syrup (for richness) as a liqueur alternative.

  • 15 ml vanilla simple syrup (recipe below)

  • 10 ml fresh aquafaba (from unsalted chickpeas)

  • Ice cubes

  • 3 coffee beans (garnish)

Vanilla Simple Syrup

(Makes extra — keeps 1 week refrigerated)

  • 100 ml water

  • 100 g caster sugar

  • ½ vanilla pod (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)

Heat gently until sugar dissolves. Cool completely.

Method

  1. Chill your glass. Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5 minutes.

  2. Prepare the coffee. Brew a strong Blesséd Brew coffee (Kaphi works beautifully). Let it cool slightly so it’s flavourful but not hot.

  3. Dry shake (for foam) In a shaker without ice, add:

    • 40 ml coffee

    • 30 ml coffee liqueur alternative

    • 15 ml vanilla syrup

    • 10 ml aquafaba

    Shake hard for 10–12 seconds.

  4. Shake again with ice. Add ice and shake vigorously for another 12–15 seconds until very cold.

  5. Strain & serve. Double-strain into the chilled glass for a smooth, creamy top.

  6. Garnish. Place 3 coffee beans gently on the foam — a classic nod to celebration, balance, and good fortune for the New Year.

Thanks for all your support this year while we have struggled with Indian bureaucracy trying to get our stock over. We are still working hard behind the scenes and our 2025-2026 crop of The Blesséd Brew is just waiting for you. We are hoping and praying that the obstacles in our way will slowly disappear and that we can get going again.

Cheers to a healthy, happy, and wonderful 2026!
